What Is It About?

It explores Poland in the context of Europe and the dynamical changes that create and shape today’s economy and environment. It will touch upon many topics, from business to politics and culture, all of which are crucial to the development of a growing economy like Poland.

When and where?

The conference is tentatively scheduled to begin on May 23rd (Friday). It will last 2 whole days, ending on 24th of May with a closing party. All of the events except of the “Networking Beer” and “Closing Party” will take place at the Woudestein Campus in Rotterdam at Erasmus University.

Why the Netherlands?

After Brexit took place in 2020, there has been a significant shift, with more students from EEA choosing Netherlands rather than UK for their Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Poland is no different - the number of Polish students in the Netherlands more than doubled, from only around 2,400 in 2020 to over 5,500 in 2023. However, although the trend is seen for the last 4 years, Polish student community in the Netherlands remains still underdeveloped compared to UK or France. That is why we wanted to expand it by engaging in the creation of NEXT by EPSS forum which will serve as a bridge between us – international students and Poland as well as the Netherlands and the wider international community.

Since Brexit, the Netherlands attracts more EEA students, including a surge in Polish students. NEXT by EPSS aims to connect this growing community with Poland and the wider international community.
